A very rare and brightly colored (Wu Cai) covered jar of Jiajing period, depicting phoenixes flying among one-legged clouds in bright yellow, red, dark blue, and black colors; the cover’s top is slightly curved upward like dome; the glaze has slightly grayish blue tint, all are typical of mid Ming period.
