The jade carved ornament is of angled tubular form, depicts a mythical beast with simple and precise carvings, the jade is of celadon color tone with russet. 玉握為死者手中握著的器物，玉葬器之一。古人認為死時不能空手而去，要握著財富和權力。古人認為死時不能空手而去，要握著財富和權力。新石器時代是以獸牙握在手中；商周時期，死者手中多握數枚貝幣，因為古人認為貝是財富的象徵。到了漢代，則在長條圓柱上加琢單線條，也就是漢代最常用的漢八刀雕法，雕成一隻玉豬。因為豬是財富的象徵，因此玉豬成為漢代最流行的玉握。
