A very fine Guangxu imperial sky-blue jar; this elegantly potted jar has a light grayish blue glaze mimicking the blue of the sky just after rain when clouds dispersed (imperial porcelain color of Emperor Cai Shi Zhong of Five Dynasties); the glaze is unctuous and is very uniformly applied without any dent, thin or thick patches; it is among the best of the imperial porcelains.
