SHOUSHAN FURONG STONE CARVED ARHAT
FIGURE
芙蓉石雕羅漢
The Shoushan Furong stone Arhat carving depicts the
Arhat seated on top of carved wooden stand against
stacks of books, one hand holding prayer beads, the
other resting on his thigh, head raised slightly, above
his ribbed chest, the stone is of pinkish-white color
tone.
此羅漢取白芙蓉石雕製，石質溫潤柔滑，瑩白細膩。整體
圓雕一伏虎羅漢，羅漢寬額豐容，雙耳齊肩，面露微笑，
半跏趺而坐，兩手拖一猛虎置於左膝。羅漢眉毛、唇髭及
鬚髮以細刀輕刻染色而成，髮絲縷縷，分毫畢顯，其身披
長袍，衣褶雕刻行雲流水，衣襟及裙邊以細刀輕劃花紋，
再染以紅色及藍色，細緻非常。猛虎背覆鬃毛，亦染朱
色，晰毛辨發，栩栩如生。

19/20th century.
The Shoushan soapstone carving depicts two Arhat,
known as Luohan, seated on carved wooden stand,
one Arhat leaned on the other Arhat, whispering
to the ear, with a small lion cub at the front by their
sides, the stone is of yellowish-brown color tone with
mottled interior.
此羅漢雕件，質地溫潤細膩，肌理內含有田黃石特有的蘿
蔔絲紋，細密清晰。作者構思巧妙，依形就石，雕刻出兩
尊尊樂在其中的羅漢，其神態被刻畫得惟妙惟肖，賞玩俱
佳。

壽山石觀音像
The Guanyin carved from Shoushan Furong stone,
seated on stone pedestal, wearing long and colorful
robes with auspicious patterns, eyes closed in serene
expression, the stone is of yellowish-white color tone
with translucency.
立體圓雕，觀音呈坐姿，面龐豐腴，五官端正，雙耳長
垂。袒胸，右腿呈踞狀，跣足，雙手扶於右膝之上，左腿
盤起呈倚坐狀，足隱起。衣飾卷雲紋，衣領處飾回文。紋
飾纖細精巧。衣紋深淺適宜。
