中国人对玉的特殊喜好自古有之，古人云，石之美者为玉。而被誉为华夏文明第一块奠基石的高古玉，有着高
深莫测的神秘色彩。在古代，君子无故玉不去身，君子与玉彼德焉。而玉的温润色泽象征仁慈，坚硬质地象征智
慧，不伤人的棱角表示公平正义。民间相信玉能护身、驱邪，代表着正气和灵性。对于古玉，可以工精、质优、色
巧、形奇为标准进行收藏。一般说来，新玉的鉴定侧重于真假玉材、质地优劣与雕工的精细；而旧玉的鉴定，则要
识别玉器的制作时代、历史上的作用和占有者的身份等等。古玉一般刀法比较精美，纹饰比较古朴，鉴赏古玉，更
应重视的是其文化内涵和历史价值。

拍品6967至6989的古玉均為台灣新竹資深藏家秦博士所提供，其中包括紅山文化、良渚文化、齊家文化、商
朝、西周、戰國、漢代、唐代、及其他古玉。秦博士從醫四十餘年，專精內科治療，在台灣地區小有名氣。年輕時
受其岳父影響，愛好古董收藏，專精古瑪瑙、古水晶、古玉、青銅器、古錢幣等中國古董。

Lots 6967 to 6989

Chinese loved jade since the ancient times, and the old saying “Beautiful stones are jade”. The archaic jade from the early
Chinese cultures has an aura of mystique around it. In the past, the gentleman always carries a jade, and jade symbolizes
the etiquette. The jade’s smooth and well-rounded color symbolizes sympathy, the hardness symbolizes intelligence,
and the smooth angles symbolizes justice. Chinese folks believe jade can protect the wearer from evil, symbolizes
righteousness and spirituality. The archaic jade usually bases the value on craftsmanship, quality, color, and rare shapes.
While newer jade identification mostly bases on quality of jade and carving work, the antique jade must also identify its
time period, purpose, and owner. Archaic jade usually has excellent carving work, with archaic and effective patterns. To
properly appraise the archaic jade, one should focus more on the cultural value and historical value.
The following lots 6967 to 6989, including jade from Hongshan Culture, Liangzhu Culture, Qijia Culture, Shang Dynasty,
Western Zhou Dynasty, Warring States period, Han Dynasty, and Tang Dynasty, were consigned by Dr. Chin of Hsinchu
City, Taiwan. Dr. Chin practiced medicine for over forty years, specializing in internal medicine. When he was younger,
he was influenced by his father-in-law, and enjoys collecting Chinese antiques, especially antique agate, crystal, jade,
archaic bronze, coins, and other Chinese antiques.
